Soccer Season Has Begun

Once again it has begun, "Soccer Season"! I have 2 children playing this season, we have practice's on Tuesdays & Thursdays and games on Saturday's ( 1 extra game on a Thursday & 2 more on separate Tuesday's). Yep.......it's Soccer Season once again.

My oldest plays basketball and my youngest is only 2 so we've got a couple more years before we add him to the craziness of family sports. My husband has coached the last 3 seasons (he usually switches off between kids). This season is our 5 yr. olds turn , unfortunately......my husbands work schedule is going to make him unavailable for a few games so that leaves "ME" to take up the slack! AHHHHHH.................

I've watched him coach before and they are only 5/6 year olds, but still.....I'm a little nervous. The first game they need my help with is this Saturday. There is another coach that will be there to help "Thank God"! I will update on my coaching abilities and how the games go as the season continues.

Hey.....I figure if nothing else, maybe this will kick start the get in shape mechanism in my head, then again....maybe it will just make me realize how truly out of shape I am? Hmmm.....either way, both scenarios don't sound to, to bad actually. I mean seriously, how many of us make excuses as to why we can't get into shape (myself included-Big Time)? If I am chasing after a bunch of 5/6 year olds on a soccer field all of my excuses are kind of thrown out the window. So, instead of a negative, I'm going to turn this situation into a positive.

Tonight my daughters team has a practice. Saturday my son has a game at 11:45 and my daughter has a game at 2:30. Saturday will be a busy day! Hopefully I can find a sitter for my 2 year old, otherwise I will be carting him around with me while I make my valiant attempt at Asst. coaching my son's soccer game. (Seriously, Let's Hope I Find a Sitter)!
