As a mother of four it is my number one concern & job to keep my children safe.
Yesterday at my daughters soccer practice one of the other moms was talking about child predators and where/where not it is safest to live. Listening to her I realized that I did not have the slightest clue whether or not there were any child predators living near me?
For obvious reasons this thought really bothered me. So, I started to do some research.
The first couple of sights I went to want you to pay a $10 membership fee to see names, photos & addresses of registered offenders. ($10 is a very minimal fee for your child's safety), but still....I think it's a bit wrong to be making money off of information that people need to keep their children safe.
Anyway, I found this site called "Watch Dog" it is 100% free! You simply type in your town and state and it will give you detailed information on every registered offender in your area.
If you are a parent, a grandparent, a caregiver or just simply a concerned citizen who wants to be well-informed, go to this site.
