Birthday party #1
Yesterday evening was my daughter's 7th birthday party. This year her theme was Hannah Montana and everything was "Hannah Montana" literally. The only present she received that didn't have something to do with Hannah Montana was the MP3 player (which I'm sure will be filled with Hannah Montana tunes soon enough) Ha,ha,ha.
We had her party at the bowling alley here in our town, Friday night "Cosmic Bowling". Our kids love cosmic bowling (it's when the bowling alley turns all the lights off and the walls, floor, pins and balls glow (they think it is sooooo cool).
The kids did get bored around their 7th turn up to bowl (but, they are 7 yr. olds it was to be expected). My 2 year old son was loving the LOUD music. He was dancing and sliding his glowing white socks all over that floor (it was very cute).
So we bowled, we opened presents, we had cake and then it was time to go. 2 hrs. went by pretty fast and everyone seemed to have a good time. One birthday down and 3 more to go!
The next one is my 5 yr. old son. He will be 6 on May 20th. Next my 14 yr. old son will be 15 on May 28th. The month of May is a busy one for us!

Kids and the Stomach Virus
When one kid gets sick they all get sick, it's kind of like the domino effect! It all started Saturday morning. My 5 yr. old said his tummy hurt and spent a good part of the day in the bathroom (we went through about 5 rolls of toilet paper). Sunday morning he woke up, said he felt fine and that was that. I thought hmmm...this isn't so bad this time. Yeah right!
Sunday afternoon around 3:00 my 6 yr. old started to complain that her stomach didn't feel very good, needless to say (it's a good thing we gave her the designated bucket). She ended up sleeping on the bathroom floor Sunday night. She said she thought it was kind of like camping (kids can make a bright moment out of just about anything).
Monday morning she said she felt fine but I kept her home from school just to be on the safe side. All in all Monday went pretty smooth and then....around 12:30 or so Monday night I heard my 2 yr. old yelling "Mommy,Mommy". I jumped out of bed and ran to his room to find him sitting in the middle of a very large mess (YUCK) The poor baby. he knew that when his brothers and sisters get sick they always have a bucket so he was just sitting there with this bewildered look on his face saying"bucket, bucket". I guess he figured if he'd have had a bucket he wouldn't be in that predicament (Awww..once again, poor baby). So, I cleaned him up and he spent the rest of the night in a sleeping bag on the bathroom floor. (we now call it camping).
Tuesday morning the baby got up and started running around like nothing happened. My 6 yr. old said she felt good and went to school, my 5 yr. old was still feeling good and everyone else was feeling fine also, once again I thought it was over. NOPE! Around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon my husband called to say he would be coming home early due to his stomach not feeling well. He spent the day running in and out of the bathroom, sometimes at speeds I have never seen him run (all I've got to say about that is our bathroom got one heck of a workout on Tuesday). "Giggle, giggle", I know I shouldn't but honestly,"I didn't know he could move that fast". Luckily for him and me he had the next day off so he had plenty of time to re-cooperate before the next round "ME", Yep it was inevitable I got it too.
Wednesday morning my daughter woke up once again with an upset tummy. She took the day off from school once again (we went through another 5 rolls of toilet paper). Unfortunately I started to feel a bit ill on Wednesday also, I'm not sure if I was really sick or just sick of everyone else being sick? I dunno' but Wednesday was a rough day.
Thursday morning my 6 yr. old woke up, felt fine and it was off to school for another try. But.....now the baby was having his own "back-end" issues. Good Lord! He's still in diapers and WHEW...let me just say this "Luvs diapers are a godsend"!
It's now Friday, my 3 oldest children all made it to school today, the baby and my husband are both napping peacefully and as for me," So far so good". Hopefully we will all get through today without any "front or back end "issues, (I Hope)!
