Spring!!

The first day of spring we had a friggin' blizzard?? Seriously...... What is going on with the weather this year? El Nino......

Today it is sunny, 65 degrees and gorgeous outside. I sure do hope it stays this way!! It is definitely time for spring cleaning. Opening all the windows, getting all that winter time funk up out of the house....heck yeah!!!

I love spring it is probably my favorite time of the year. Everything smells fresh and clean. Flowers start to bloom, the winter fog clears and makes way for the sunshine. I just love it!

It also means "Garage Sale's"!!!!!

Time to clean out the house, the kids rooms, the garage and get rid of the old and make way for the new.....

It's a New Year!!

I love New Years Eve, New Years Day!!! All of it really..... it's a brand new fresh start, new beginnings, wiping the slate clean feeling.

This year I decided to quit smoking for my New years resolution!! I smoked my last cigarettes on December 31st and haven't looked back. now I'm not saying it's been easy by any means.

The first week I was a royal"you know what" IT WAS HARD!!! The second week was a little easier....mostly mental. By the third week I knew I could do it but I still wanted a darn cigarette. (still do at times) It's been almost 4 months now and I'm feeling pretty good about my accomplishment!! Now it's time to lose the extra 20 lbs I've put on!! Oh yes...I became one of those.....Instead of puffing away I began eating..... heavy sigh (no pun intended) lol

August thru December

August.......

August was another busy month. We moved into our new home in our new town. My husband started a new job. The kids started a new school. And me......well....I unpacked boxes, found a new pediatrician, signed the kids up for school and attempted to make everyone feel at home in our new home.....

September......

My girlfriend asks if she can come stay with us for a couple of weeks while she works so that she can save the money to get her and her husband into an apartment. (This is another long story, but I won't get into the details)

October......

My girlfriend makes enough money to get her apartment!! My daughter get's her bedroom back!! Everyone is happy again...... Time for the holidays!!

December.....

Christmas Trees, Decorations, Crazy Weather including blizzards and ice storms. My husband never did get the lights put up on the house this year...lol...
Oh yeah and I almost forgot Strep throat.....arghhhhhh......

July!!!

Okay...wow....I haven't blogged since July.....a lot has happened since then, where to begin, where to begin.......

Let's break it down from the beginning. Here goes....Lol

July......the kids and I got back from our month long vacation visiting family (halfway across the U.S.) Transitioning back into being at home versus being on vacation for an entire month is always an adjustment!!

Then about a week after we got home my husband get's a job offer about 6 1/2 hours from where we were, but only 1 1/2 hours from our dream location!! Obviously, he accepts.....now we have to find a new place to live and we have 2 weeks in which to do it.....Yikes!!

So....we pack up the kids, drive the 6 1/2 hours to our soon to be new town and begin house hunting.....good lord let me just say, "what a pain in the royal rear end that mess was"!! We had exactly 2 weeks to find a decent rental and move in before my husband was supposed to start working....

Our first trip was in vain, the kids fought the entire time, complained about the long drive (are we there yet, he keeps looking at me, quit touching me, on and on and on it went)for 6 1/2 hours each way....Phew.....

My husband and I decide to call a property management company and go back down by ourselves. Long story short, we chose the best property out of the 7 we had to choose from in the 2 days we had to look. Did we make the right decision? Is this house going to be okay? Is the school a good one? Are the kids going to like it? all these qusetions and more running through our heads we drove the 6 1/2 hours back to start packing.

Meanwhile, the kids are excited but sad, my husbands family is a little sad being as we were within an hour or so of visiting them before the move. Everyone is a little stressed, on edge, etc. and we are packing an entire house in 3 days!! We got it done though.......WooHoo!!

Craziness.....pure craziness......

No more Passion Parties....

So, the last time I blogged was way back in July!!! Wow how time flies.....

Let's see what's new....well to begin with I am no longer doing passion parties. I know, I know....I was really into it, excited about it, so on and so forth. But with moving, my husband switching jobs, the kids in a new school, etc. etc. life just kind of took over and well......there you have it (no more passion parties)

My husband never really got used to the idea of vibrator's and feminine play toys sitting out all over the place with the kids around anyway, Lol!! He was always saying "Hide that", "don't let the kids see that", etc. etc. So....in my particular situation it was probably more of a pain in the butt than anything....

Hmmmm....maybe I should've gone with candles?? Hahahaha....

Awww. well.....that's what life's about isn't it. Trial and error. Learning new things, trying new things and finding out about yourself along the way. I've got to admit that regardless of the final outcome.....passion parties was a lot of fun while it lasted!!

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint on the clouds of doub;
And you never can tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems afar.

Been gone....

So I haven't blogged in quite awhile. I've been so extremely busy these last couple of months I haven't had a spare moment!

The kids and I took a month long trip to Washington state to visit family and friends. It was fun, but I think next time I will opt for 2 weeks at a time. An entire month was just way too long.

My poor husband didn't come with us and by about the 2 week mark he was going pretty lonely crazy!!

That was the entire month of June. Now we are all back in Missouri dealing with the humidity and the bugs, LOL.

It's all good though. I truly appreciate the calmness of the Midwest. I found that I really don't miss the hustle, bustle and go, go, go attitude of everyone in Seattle.

It's funny how life changes you sometimes. I always thought I would love the Big City life and would never settle down in a mainly rural area. Hmmmm....life

In the 2 weeks that I've been home we've had the 4Th of July, my youngest son turned 3 years old and we went camping in Joplin, MO.

Now it is definitely time for me to get back to work and get busy with my Parties!! I Love my Job!!

But....we find out by the end of the week whether or not my husband gets a new job out in Joplin or not?? Here we go again.

Once again....that's life. You just never know where or when it's going to take you somewhere new. But then again I suppose that's the beautiful thing about it isn't it.

Live Laugh Love
